I agree. After looking at it some more, it appears to be a type 1 because of an item between the hind legs that's not in a type 2.
Recently I got this 1913-D Buffalo nickel, and I've been trying to identify the type. It's quite worn, though, which makes it quite hard. I'm...
I'm honestly not quite sure. The final bid on the coin was $70, which is something I wouldn't pay for it, but then again, there's still a lot of...
I honestly think that a lot of the grading companies know very few of the VAMs. Some world-class graders at the top companies likely need to be...
I see what you mean. It is slightly possible, though, that any classic circam coin with no mint mark is an impaired proof, as Philadelphia made...
Ain't very frustrating the truth! Imagine a millimeter making two different die crack varieties, and the difference being hundreds.
I gotta admit, that's quite the contrast. Just imagine if that actually was a proof! Stranger things have happened. I remember a YouTube video...
CAC does have expert graders on their team, so it's quits good that they could recognize it. It would likely grade as cleaned from companies like...
I think even a train wreck would be worth more. You could likely get $40 or more out of one that's holed, cleaned, corroded, scratched, and bent...
Now I've really got to think about it. The bid is now $28! Hopefully it doesn't go much higher than that, though. As a collector, I want something...

Hey folks! Today, I put roughly $55 into a 1922 Peace Dollar graded by PCGS as MS64 as the result of a trade. I'm wondering if it has any possible...
Honestly I've seen a cleaned coin sell for as much as an uncleaned one. Hopefully this won't happen with whizzed coins, though.

I actually located part of the site from 2006, while one in 2007 had another site there. Have you found any other websites?
I actually have a cousin who works in one of the coin shops about 35 miles south of me. I've bought three and sixpences off him at melt value,...
I've actually been researching about both topics, and while that quarter looks good, if you dig deeper, it looks quite harshly cleaned. I've seen...
What slab companies have you found? I looked up ones like GEC and it says "the domain may be for sale".
SGS slabbed coins will only ever be worth their actual grade. This is a company where you should buy the coin for the coin and not the holder.
It'd honestly be cool if it got a PR-4 CAM. However, I do believe that that dark toning compared to the rainbow toning is why they gave it a...
