It sounds like a grease filled die strike. Not worth much more than a few times face value depending on condition, but a cool piece to hang onto.

The matte has almost a sandblasted texture. Yours looks like a business strike, but a nice piece none the less.

The S does look a bit chubby and flat along the bottom. Are the trumpet end of the S parallel?
