Yes, I was speaking of cases where feedback is left by the winning bidder. If the auction isn't private, you can still find out who the winning...
I have never seen mint made die polish lines like that on a Flying Eagle Cent. I am confident the lines are man made, post mintage.
In this particular case, the images from the earlier listing seem to confirm that the coin has indeed been cleaned (and that the second seller is...
Private listings prevent other EBay members from learning whom the winning bidder is and contacting him to warn/inform him.
Glad to hear you aren't upset and that you don't follow blindly. I applaud you for digging into matters thoroughly. It is true, I haven't dealt...
Put me in the cleaned or polished XF camp.
You can choose to feel insulted and/or have your feelings hurt, or even not to believe what some of us are telling you. Or, you can choose to...

Not if the cost of certification is a high percentage of the value of that "nice piece".
It might just be the image, but it looks like a cleaned AU example to me. Either way, I would be shocked if it is of sufficient quality to justify...
The coin looks no better than MS62 and is probably AU. Either way, it is not worth having graded. And I doubt that the seller really thought it...
If you haven't already done so, you should check out the Heritage auction archives.
Now THAT, I strongly agree with. I just don't want to excuse dishonest sellers who take advantage of those who don't know better.
First you stated that unknowledegable buyers who bid on counterfeits deserve what they get - I strongly disagree with that. Then you make...
