Given the relatively small collector base for coins of that particular series, I don't think it would have much of an impact one way or another.

I would strongly suggest only purchasing the 1916-D slabbed; far too many stories of added mint marks and alterations for my taste.
One of my favorite sets that I've put together is this one, the 1887-1900 crowns. A a bit pricey in some cases but well worth the effort!
