I say go for it. I was about 7 when I got raw morgans and some large cents from my grandmother.
It has XF details, due to the rim issue, maybe $500 or so.

I was always careful with my coins but I would say my most foolish was holding sometimes holding coins on the faces & not the edges when I was 6....
