The plating is only microns thick. Even with the plating gone it can still weigh within tolerance.

The weight combined with the details would be one. All three of the planchets are 19mm. Weights are different. Steel 2.7g Copper 3.17 Curacoa 3.575
I think he was there. The surfaces are not die deterioration that is from something acidic, or a wire wheel.
Notching and split serifs looks good to me. I would like to see full photos of the coin. This seems to definitely follow the definition of a class V.
It is the same as a 43 on a copper planchet. The blanks get stuck somewhere in the hopper, and get mixed in with the intended blanks.

Possibly scrapes from a feeder finger. Could be bad die prep.
