Also notice how the doubling wraps around the devices. A doubled die will show 2 sharp raised images.
Where's the D? I keep and use old rolls. I haven't seen that one before.
I will be on the look out for a die pair. I can see the original D, that's wild, if it is a die issue.

There should be no problem at $5 buck. When I find these moderns in less than desireable and agree with them. I snag them up for 2-3 bucks. $5...

The quarter above shows quite a few of the characteristics known with weak strikes, except the third side. It makes me wonder what the third side...
