It's allegedly Brahmi script, but I don't know how to read the letters, and I suspect a significant portion of the lettering is off-flan.

It's a scarce coin. Judging by the pitting on the reverse, I would say it was once cleaned of BD, and lacquered (or waxed) to prevent furthers...

These are lovely coins. Since the devices are so intricate, it's worth getting them in AU and above - you need to see all the details to fully...
