The obverse is ghostly and way beyond the point of removing the die from service. There is also plenty of definition of the Monticello reverse....
I saw the stretching you could be right, except the coin would still be lighter than heavier. Looks the heaviest at IN GOD.

Thanks all. The coin doesn't have much wear at all. When I bought it, it had the problems it does right now. I just don't want to make it worse....
Thats why I don't send mine until closer to Christmas. It stops some of the temptation.
The only thing that I can see is that it is a Mule. Kind of like a transitional die in coins. The wrong back plate was used for the inking.
Danny there is a big difference between contact marks, IE focal marks and circulation marks. Also the luster is what is considered when coins...
