I agree with the consensus that it is a genuine 1914 with an added "D" mintmark. I saw this on ebay as it was ending, and was immediately turned off.
Hey guys....just saw this 1914-D cent end on ebay. What do you think of it??
Hmmm.....people buying the slab and not the coin. I have never heard of that happening before.:D
I just sent an ebay message to the seller requesting closer pictures of the $500 and $1,000 bills. I am curious wheter or not they are fake. I...
Congratulations!! That was a tough one!
The 1914 dime is known as a "Barber Dime" and is made of 90% silver. The value will normally range anywhere between $2 and $3, but may be higher...
Thats a great looking specimen....Congratulations!
Not only worries of the government and taxes.....but how about those 1964-D Peace Dollars that are hidden away. They certainly are not going to...
I'm pretty sure that GDJMSP is correct. It has become more of an urban legend for what "could have" happened with the nickels.
It may be that many 1880-O Morgans that were uncirculated and sitting in bank vaults were melted under the Pittman Act in 1918. Lower grade ones...
Does anyone know what an MS-63 1880-CC Morgan Vam 5 8/7 High 7 is currently worth? I have the VAM book and it lists the coin as an I-5 (Collector...
Yeah, I would definitely pass on this coin. This coin is an AU piece, and you can buy a well-struck MS 63 1881-S for $40.
I would stay away from this lot. I want to see the "$10,000" 1880-S Morgan. This coin better be an ultra grade.....lol.
I agree with you. I would call that an overly conservative estimate. I think mint-rolled unc coin rolls would average higher than MS-60.
Zane, I feel like it was a rude response. Your email was respectful and professional, and considering how quickly you sent the coin back, the...
They are fairly plentiful in higher grades, as they were hoarded due to the "no cents" fiasco. I agree that $35 is too much money for that coin.
I really thought the coin had a 64 look, but I thought the carbon spots on the reverse may knock it down to 63 if it was a borderline coin.
Wow....definitely a cleaned XF coin! They have the awesome slab sealing sticker that SGS used to have on their holders!!!
Funny....I didn't get my January 29 issue. I received the 22th issue, and just got my issue for February 5th today.
If you have no intention of selling the coin, then you should decide if you like the eye appeal now, or would like to try to improve it. Before...
