You are correct green18. U did ask when the P mint mark "first" appeared on US coins, but further along in my answer I stated that the P mint mark...
The original question was just US coins. But yes, the 1979 SBA's did in fact have a P mint mark on them. Thank you for correcting me :bow:
I agree with mpcusa. The backup would be horrible. I think it would be a great idea to mix the PO and the US mint. Around here there are more PO...
