I just sent a coin to Wexler after debating between him and CONECA. They're both probably just as good as each other. It costs $4 + return...
To add to the above, many people say for World (non-US) coins, go with NGC; for US coins, go with PCGS.
That one's hilarious!
Does this 1857 Flying Eagle cent have doubling on the 7? That digit is certainly larger looking than the normal strike. It also doesn't match the...
Milk spots are very obvious to see. I'd still recommend getting a good loupe to do some detective work. IMHO, PRooF-69 is the better deal in general.
The price for this stater coin is relatively low for what the market demands. In fact, it should be worth way more. Is this seller providing...
That's hilarious! Anyway, that reminds me of this story of a man who went to jail for using $2 bills: [MEDIA]
This one could've made it to the hard pack but maybe it wasn't shiny enough: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152868682833
OK, I got in touch with John Wexler and will send the coin out to him. I'll take a dip and see what happens.
OK, I figured out to whom I can send the coins to: Rick Snow at CONECA, or John Wexler. They both charge the same amount at $4 + return first...
The "cents" could be "etc." I see that "double" is also spelled wrong on one of them - maybe it's a non-native English speaker who wrote "dot"...
It looks like it was written in shorthand and it's supposed to say: "Double[d] date cents?"
It looks real to me.
I've been submitting tokens along with coins on the same invoice this whole time with no issue (at least 3 separate times in 2017!). But after...
Unless someone is convinced otherwise, I'll submit this to NGC as a VarietyPlus with a note saying that FS-102 is the closest from what I can see....
Yeah it could be a typo. Even if it was meant to be for MS-69 that would be incredible. Too bad we can reverse search on NGC's certification...
OK, FS-102 is the closest DDO to the 11 total recognized ones shown (not including the non-error), but I don't see the same type of doubling on...
I'd accept and prefer that gold 1 cent any day, no matter his intent!
I just checked the date. Unfortunately, it was just a hit on the "7" that made it look like that. And, on the rest of AMERICA, there looks to be...
On the obverse rim at 7 o'clock, it looks like it's either clipped or it took a direct hit or shear at roughly 45 degrees from the flat of the...
