I sure hope not, there are a lot of coins I need to complete some sets, mostly silver coins, I'd hate to pay that high for some common date coins.
It looks fake to me as well. If it were real the letter could go missing due to being struck through grease, which usually doesn't carry a premium.

Are you talking about the handrail or whatever its called on the left of the stairs? If so its just looks like that from circulation.
What did it grade? Do you have a pic of the full coin?
That is known as machine doubling, it carries no extra premium.
