Welcome to the forums, I'm kinda curious, what makes you think it would be worth more than face value? Do you think its an error, old, rare etc...
I agree, it appears to be a scan which can mute all luster.
He probably sent them all in at 1 time to all be graded together, they'll receive numbers such as XXXXXXXX-001, 002, 003 etc.
First of all do you have a picture of the coin in question? It would also be a good idea to start a new thread, and ANACS is a third party grading...
There is no way to know what the started date was, I use the recent threads on the right side of the page. There really is no need to comment on...

Toning can add a premium, but they have to add eye appeal. Those wouldn't have a premium in them.
