Not a problem...as I said above I'm always ready to learn something new even after 50 years (as of next month) of specializing in bust halves.
The only problem I spot in my post is the wonky looking date. And yes, in my pic it IS wonky looking--especially the 8. In reality, it isn't...
As a rule, with the exception of the wing the O-102 is probably the best struck 1809 there is. Hard to believe that the reverse die had already...
Yes, it is a sickness, even after nearly 50 years of specializing in them I still have to attribute any bust half that gets posted.
Let 'er rip.

Die erosion...the same thing that caused the stars to elongate to the rim.
Of course, one should never say never, but the 1810 102 NEVER has a full left wing. Yours is typical. Now, someone will show me one just to...
STRONG milling on that 1810-110. Most look more like this one. [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Nice looking 29/7 CirCam. I like the rust toning,
Here's a PCGS 102a XXX with the cracks at the date. The reverse crack is in its infancy. Although the coin isn't (and never has been) mine I saw...
Doesn't gotta be. There are a few early 102As with the XXX edge. I doubt this is one of them, though.
