I wanted a set of Silver Eagles raw. Others want a set of graded ones. There is no reason to tell others not to collect what they want to.
I didn't think the services could ever decide on the 1959 wheat cent and would not give an opinion.
I don't know for sure but vinyl flips may leave something on the coins. Those made with PVC may react to the heat.

Wheat cents are worth about three cents each in average condition. 1959 cents are worth one cent each. There were millions made.

You have a damaged cent. Why can't you tell if something is off with the D? You have it in hand. I see nothing that makes me think RPM.

Lots of chatter that was there before the strike. Very few hits that came after the strike. The nice luster helped it get to a gem grade. Years...
Like other types of coins, hits and scratches that came after being struck. Nice luster is also a big factor.
