So has anyone figured out how to tell which metal the 1859's are. I have 2 and they are not exactly the same.
Would the fact that it's a Loomis roll necessarily mean "uncirculated"?
If you think you just bought a roll of 1982 D, small dates. You got ripped off big time.
You have a 1982 large date cent that is worth one cent. There is nothing to do. It is not a collectible coin.
Meant machine doubling. See around the "O" in One.
Because then it would weigh 2.5 grams.
Might be MD on the reverse. I'm improving -I knew it was 93 before I saw the date.
Looks like a small die chip to me.

Red book price is $1 in MS 63.

I consider them die chips myself. Ran across so many of them that I quit saving them. Just chips of metal that scooted to another location.

I thought it was determined in here that no coins were actually minted from shell casings. The shells were gathered but they were never recycled...
