Have just caught up with this thread and have to admit was rather steaming at the start but would like to thank you guy's for the level headed...
They are lovely coins I have a few in my collection but not in that condition I am sad to say LOL

I think it was around about 1967 when they changed the currency from the Brazilian cruzeiro to the New Brazilian cruzeiro at a rate of 1000...
Realy like the coin :thumb: also got to see some of it's smaller relatives in Luxor recently :D

Yep it can look like that when they are unc or nat had much circulation :D I have a couple of £1 coins in there folders of issue with this look
