It is not leagal tender, and on the coin there is no marking of value outside of the fact that it marks as one oz silver.

From my exp a dent like that would subtract approx 30-40% of the value of the grade so VG=$22 then vg w/dent $13-15 not a bad buy for a buck

That is the large date S not the more prized small date, which is what collectors are looking for.
Olive oil soak, followed by brillo pad scrub, then brasso, then weld into a bracelet and shellac. Thats probably the best those coins can hope for.
