Why...would the states make replicas ?
I typed in on google . 1788 colonial and it took me to a colonial coins of 1788. And it talkd about the Ryder coins.
1788 R..Ryder collection. Which was a special set of coins.
Well from a colonial coin sight. Mayb then it stands for Ryder.?
I just find that weird that the individuals that produced the coins for a certain year...dont seem to know what mint mark would be on a certain...

Nope...those dont have a R on the back Left . My 1788 is copper brown with a slight messup..on the arrows on right when made.
