Have a look at an off struck counter-brockage, on a struck coin. One of them COULD look a BIT like the coin pictured, although the pictured coin...
Krause catalougues are the best for "world coins" (ie: everything post 1600), but tend to be $80 a volume, so not your sort of thing. For USA...
What is the point of a 1/2 oz SILVER coin....silver is worth so little nowdays (it could circulate at $10 though !)
It is quite odd. Even when the bust on the coins alternates with each monarch, as on GB coinage, there always is more left then right....!!!!
