I tried but the two coins I was interested in went for a lot more than I thought they were worth. Some prices were nuts.
What's interesting is that the person that founded CAC also was involved in founding PCGS & then NGC. CAC won't even look at an ANACS graded coin...
You won't improve these coins. Any thing you do will destroy the coins. Copper never looks right after being cleaned. If they're low value...

My 1942 proof 67+ CAC Mercury.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I have no idea how they came up with a date but, someone said they picked the first year of issue. FB is beyond me where they came up with that.
That happens a lot. It seems that both NGC and PCGS so the same thing. I bought a 1837 seated dime that is a proof but, was graded unc. details...

That's a tough one. I don't think they can be completely removed but, you maybe able to lighten them up. You could try a Q tip with a little...
These are my other 1837's.[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]

I don't know but, the first and last coin don't look like the coins you sent in. The 1857 looks like it has more wear than the one in your first...
This is not my Mercury dime but, check out what PCGS graded it at. It's a neat error but, the grade? Just like Paddyman98's. These are cool...
This is one of my 1837 bust dimes. [ATTACH]
Like Johnmilton said above I prefer to buy certified coins in older holders. Sometimes a problem may not show up for a few years. If the slab...
Digging the past can be interesting as well as shocking. My daughter had her DNA tested and it showed Asian DNA. She was shocked but, I wasn't....
This is my 1883.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Thanks, I have a 1858 Small Letters also in MS 63. Unfortunately, I don't have a good way to take pictures so I rely on pictures from the seller....
Here's my 1858.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
