I second this.
Frank, Try tilting your head at a 60 degree angle to the right when you look at the reverse. I was thinking that it was not a convex breast at...

If money isn't an issue as far as buying a loupe, I would HIGHLY recommend an eschenbach 3+6=9 loupe. You can purchase them for roughly 100...
This is interesting. Both of the sellers seem legit, but that is without question the same coin pictured in each auction. I am highly confused.
I would call it an au-55-58, keep in mind these are inordinately hard to grade from pictures.
I have about 70 british pennies in various conditions dating back to the 1700's until the later 1900's. There are no duplicates. Please...
I have several coins lumped into one auction. There are 5 bust halves, 3 bust dimes, 4 morgan dollars, a buffalo nickel, and 1961-1964 proof sets....
I personally wouldn't grade this coin anything higher than a 64. The faint lines on the neck typically aren't seen on anything higher than a 64 IMO.
Tons of coins have their grades limited by strikes. I have seen 100's of coins with pristine surfaces, but they have been limited to a grade of 63...
The D should be lower and to the left, and smaller in my opinion.
Wow! I'm pretty sure I read that story in Breen. I heard he made up lots of the historical information in his book.
Has anyone seen these yet? Talk about a lack of detail in the design! The proof ones look nice and frosty though. : ) What does everyone here...
Interesting tidbit if I recall correctly (if not, someone please correct me)-apparently the no cent nickels are relatively inexpensive, because...
Lol, notice the counterfeit trade dollar in the picture. Not to mention the lack of the 100,000's of thousands of coins.
19-21 dollars is the absolutely maximum to pay for such an 1883 nc nickel in ms-60. An ms-63 would be worth 35 dollars.
I bought a coin from a seller, that was harshly cleaned. The picture did not make this evident. I emailed the seller, and he said return it for a...
Lock 64 IMO. No higher, no lower.
Nick, NCS would not be able to do anything about the spots assuming they are carbon spots. Also, I don't think NGC would assign a grade higher...
Ben, I'm not sure what to make of the reflectivity, except that that must have been a KNOCKOUT when it was first minted. I've seen a few like...
