Yes, it is possible to tone a coin after it is slabbed.
Way to go!!!:thumb:
Looks like it might be a clash. What is there on the other side?
The silver was $100. That is the only type I bought.
If your set is sitting in Kentucky, how can that be the mint's fault:desk:
Nice find!:thumb:
Nice pics!! Looks like die polish.
Uncirculated, nice coins, go for $50 to $80 on eBay. Check out the completed listings. I was interested in one, so I was keeping an eye on them....
One way I can think of is that it circulated after the cuts were made and got worn off.
Post mint damage.
It looks very nice. Thanks for sharing.:thumb:

Silver was up to $14.50, 9.5 to 10x face. I take in some silver to sell and the dealer offers me 4.5x face. He was very surprised when I declined...
First of all, every Morgan is a VAM. Just think of VAMs as die marriages. Some are just cooler than others. I see no evidence of any clashing...
I think it is XF too.
Looks like it was spooned or stuck in a dryer.
Can you post nice big pics of the coin? There are several members here who can help you VAM it if you can.:kewl:
But I just thought of something.....if you can find some nice close up pics of the proofs, we can VAM your coin to see if it has the right die...
