In looking into CAC and what they place as a 'value' on the 1937, they show $233 where the NGC site gives the value as $200. Any ideas as to why ?...
yes, it's verified on their site.
was wondering about the CAC
Just picked up a very nice 1937 Daniel Boone Half MS 65. As you can see it is dark but the details both obverse and reverse. Second, the old white...
The question is, is this an MS 64 or better ? I say no. The breast feathers on the reverse look odd and lots of marks on reverse too.
Sorry, if the TPG is not the top four then I have no trust in the grader.
That would be nice. Now, which TPG be more inclined to give a coin a PL or DMPL, I have no idea.
I give you this 1880-S Morgan, which I consider PL. I want to grade it too, my concerns[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] are bag marks. Would you agree...
I am stunned at the number of "grading services" out there. To all of them, what does it take to be one ? Slabs and a colored piece of paper ?
I enjoy looking at national auctions where these "basement graders" have their coins up for bid. Graded by who at what grade ? How much ?
Thank you sir. I've kept this and a MS65, but have two 1880-S MS65 from NGC and two MS64 from PCGS, I guess I'm starting to hoard. LOL.
I agree this is my best 1881-S with cartwheel golden tone.[ATTACH]
one question, would it be because of the high mintage numbers (8,900,000-12,760,000 and 9,250,000) ? I say yes .
I'm glad you have responded, I figured a lower grade, my first ding on the coin would be those brush marks along the face ? You know more than me...
I told my friend I couldn't find anything on PCSS, the coin is not mind so I thought the 65 to 64 would be about right but even a 63 with the rub...
one grade from 65 to 64 is a 110 dollar difference.
Reverse, would you say the grade could easily go a grade less that could be a 100 dollar difference in value ?[ATTACH]
I am beginning to see more TGP services out three. One is PCSS or Prestige Coin Slabbing Service. I've gone on the net and not much there. Anyone...
they are obvious, didn't want to bring it up.
Sad, maybe done to test for content ? But again a fine piece. I'd have it checked.
