Welcome to Coin Talk. I can't see any doubling on your quarter. Perhaps you you post a clear closeup of the area where you see the doubling.

Will it hurt the coin to soak it in warm water and a drop of dishwashing soap? Rinse with clean water. Just don't scrub it or wipe it dry

There's no Large Date/Small Date variety for 2006. As @Pickin and Grinin said, it's damaged. Not a 2 next to the D mint mark.
