I am working on a complete set of the classic commemoratives. Here is my 1935-S Arkansas. It is an MS 67.[ATTACH]
calcol: Thanks for the link. I'll check it out because it sure looks interesting. Mark
Calcol: You should watch the video. It contradicts some of the things you say. Plus it is fascinating!
Fascinating video. I am a member of the ANS but did not know about this video, so thanks VERY much to NSP for posting it. I think a similar video...
The easiest way for me (and I suspect for the op) to tell if a 1964 cent is SMS or not is to read what the slab says.
CamaroDMD, what you describe sounds like my life. :)
[ATTACH] A (relatively) common date but I like it. Mark
That is one cool "semi-dime". Don't try it but that core looks thin enough to bend by hand.
@paddyman98 Thanks for the tip. I just edited the post myself. I live to save moderators time because they are such marvelous humans. :shame:...

I believe PCGS numbers are random, so you are not going to get anything close to a precise date for the slab. I always like the older slabs...
Seeing the "1986 penny MAJOR ERROR" title to this thread, I somehow accurately guessed what I would see when I opened it.
I will be a bit contrary here. If it's a one and done thing, that is, this is the only coin you'll ever buy for your Grandson and it's the only...
@lordmarcovan Given your superb writing and the nonsense that is often published in the Numismatist, I am disappointed that your story was limited...
I'm posting another coin largely to bring this post back to the front page in the hopes that more coins are posted. In the meanwhile, this is an...
Gad Inspector43, I started being born in 1949, one year after you started collecting! But, that's in part the great thing about numismatics, if...
I'm glad to see you posting--hopefully that means you are back home. I also think it's a good decision to keep your ancients in a slab. Some of...
