Looks like post-mint damage to me-- the rut alongside the right part of the V indicates to me that someone dug into the coin after it left the mint.
That penny, unfortunately, is one of the most common dates of its type (120 million+ minted), and the condition would not go higher than Fine....
And to make matters more confusing, a troy pound is only 12 troy ounces, or 373.24 grams, so it is significantly lighter than an avoirdupois...
