The better/rare dates are in the teen's and 20's with mint mark.
This was in 1995 or 1996. I bought a 1911 sandblasted Proof 64 NGC 2.5 IND for 21K from a dealer friend of mine.I immediately asked him to crack...
Any coin that is made by the mint today...;)
A very nice 62 coin!
Not really, They just go in cycles like everything else. Some days tonners will be more popular and other days white coins will be more popular.
IMO, This is the most beautiful coin (design wise) ever minted by the U.S.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
The best kind of investments are the ones you get for FREE!..:greedy:
This coin was FREE but the postage was expensive...;) seriously, There are some silver commems that I wouldn't mind owning at today's level.[ATTACH]
Wouldn't mind owning a 63/64 at a reasonable price.
Very cheap compared to back then.
Answer to your Q...;) https://www.cointalk.com/threads/your-opinion-on-the-best-u-s-coin-s-to-buy-near-the-500-range.278613/
Most of the classic silver commems are FREE now.
I have always cracked mine and then sent in raw it doesn't matter the age of the holder to me. I didn't know there was a reconsideration service...
Besides ASE I wouldn't pay extra premium for any other silver...that just me.
I don't know anything about these bars. I wouldn't pay $20 per OZ for silver with spot price at $16.25
WOW!...$20 per oz??
My guess is that most of their coins have already been through TPG services. The raw coins that are up for bid are the REJECTS from TPG service.
That would be stupid of them...why would they crack the coin if no upgrade?
b/c the current gold content in a $20 is $1171. My guess for a PCGS/NGC MS63 common date Saint would be close to $1400.
You are correct 11-D was stuck in my head. ..:banghead: OP, CDN bid on an MS62 11-P is $1650 and MS63 is $2250.
