I'd love to have one! During my visit to the UK in 2010 I checked all my change but cannot find (or maybe just cannot spot) a fake one.
As chrisild said, they will continue in circulation. I have heard Victoria coins where found in change on late 60's; just before the decimal adoption.
I agree with moneyer12, legar tender circulating coins have history. Those "collector" coins have... mmm... high price ?
