"My collection has no objective." Nothing wrong with that at all.
Also, if you go with the PCGS route of membership with 8 submissions, all 8 have to be done at one time, they all have to be the same submission...
If there is a major coin show near you, you can save on shipping by dropping the coins off to your TPG of choice. I don't know of any discounted...
How is it harmless?
For 28$ nothing on that coin worries me.
Dipping is cleaning.

I love worn silver coins. Especially Barber and Seated halves.... :) Although, I love looking at high grade ones as well.
The pics seem a bit grey, but looks like VF20 maybe even 25. I would be anxious to see the coin's true color. For a VF20, I say dang good job....
Please don't clean that coin, Amanda. Any value to real collectors will be diminished.
Wow, couple days from the forum must have killed you.
Maybe you can burn the slab, in the safe, in the camper, and scrap it all.

I agree, I was rummaging through my SDB today, and it was like rediscovering those coins all over again.
Woah woah woah...maybe we shouldn't be so hasty to stop Detecto. :D
You're not a true collector and in it for the fun of the hobby if you buy and/or put coins in slabs.
See my link below, I like slabs. Oh and sometimes I get coins in them too.
The last two graded by PCGS as FR02 that went through public auction went for $391 & $384 in February.
