Speaking of gold ... Well it depends on what countries you have visited .... but for the most part you will need to accept the lower purities.
Sold for $754 ..... I figure at 50% of the numismatic value ($1500). Was it worth it ??? ...... I still say no, but what do I know :o
You actually carried around a gold coin as a pocket piece ?? How often would you take it out and show someone? They probably thought it was cool...

From what I can conclude from a brief check is The 1910 had no "restrike" and the 1892 had a "proof restrike"
The numismatic book value of this coin in a gradeable VF condition is about $750 ... EF is $1500. The bullion value of this coin is approx....
