Looks similar to those dipped in acid.
Probably not off center but rather misaligned die. MAD
It appears that you may have one there. Try matching it up here. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/Featured/1946Sinverted.html
I would say struck through grease. With the coin being in a holder obscuring part of the rim it's hard to say for sure but what I can see looks to...
Looks like a ghost image like is seen on the reverse of some Lincoln cents.

Double clip??
The '29, '47 and '51 appear to me to be MD. The single notch in the S/W corner of the MM of the '79 has been discussed as a possible broken punch...
Wow. That's cool looking.
possibly a die gouge/scrape by an ejection arm.
Probably a MAD mis-aligned die. Can you post a photo of the reverse.
Not sure but another option here may be a die clash issue, or both???
Great looking Lincoln.
Sure looks like the one in the CPG to me. Nice one.
Looks like it took a hit forcing some of the metal into that position next to the 2.
Looks good. I haven't found any WAMs in a while.
You may want to try and match these up with those posted on http://www.coppercoins.com and http://www.lincolncentresource.net
Nice find. I'd be happy just to find a 2009 dime.
Might want to look at this site. http://www.traildies.com/
Very hard to tell from the photo but a guess, maybe several die cracks in the hair.
