Some coins, such as Eisenhower dollar proofs, are known for developing a blue haze. I don't think it enhances the value, and may actually hurt it.
Here's my '21-S that has been in a 20th Century framed display for 15 years or more:
Here's one of my latest acquisitions: a 1907-S Barber dime in, I think, AU-55 condition
Bids for that coin will be accepted through June 26. http://www.coinnews.net/2011/05/24/greatcollections-to-auction-1842-o-10-gold-eagle/
I've seen some of those charms on Japanese auction sites. A group of 4 charms, including yours, went for the equivalent of $14 in one recent...

What's going on there between the 2 and the neck?
I wonder how much I could get for it on eBay? :)
This 64-D quarter took a beating, probably from someone who was trying to make a ring out of it.
This Barber dime pales in comparison to most of what I've seen here, but I'll toss it out here anyway to try to get some input about the grade. I...
Wow, you've posted some dazzlers there, Winged :smile
Ratio posted pictures of two different '79-CC Morgans. The first one looks fake-- the 1, 8, and 7 all have problems, and the "wear" looks artificial.
I'm not sure how to go about this. I live in Japan but have a US address that I can use. If I send it as an individual from Japan and have it...
It looks like I will be sending it in to NGC.
That Morgan dollar looks very suspicious-- the "wear" looks artificial, and the numbers in the date don't match up to a real specimen....
