looks like an altered date to me. I would say it is not real.

au-53 IMO
In hand the coin has super reflective fields, similar to a pl or dmpl morgan. You can read lettering on a business card from several inches away.
NGC graded the coin au-55 star PL. The coin has incredible eye appeal in hand, and I definitely did not do the coin justice with the pictures.
NGC graded. I can't remember the overton number off hand, but it is a common variety.

It's too hard to tell from the pictures. I would assume proof.
Acetone will not dull the surfaces of a coin, even if you leave it soak for long periods of time. Commercial coin dips like ez-est however will...
There is obvious wear on the cheek and the neck, so I would have to call it au-58. :(
I would call it AU details, but is has been dipped and/or cleaned.
