If you go through boxes of cents from your local bank, you can fill a lot of holes from the 20's and 30's.

Well, proofs are not exactly always shiny, as you can see by my 2002-S cent:[ATTACH] But, I can definitively tell you that your dime is not a proof.

+1 Remember, a 1988 proof dime would have been minted in San Francisco, so it would have an "S" mintmark, not a "P".
