Here's my 1828, an N-3, Anacs xf-45: [img][img]
Hi Rick. If you can believe it, I don't have it photographed. I'll have to go fetch it next weekend and take a few shots.
A pair of '27s... First, a crusty/cleaned N-2: [img][img] Second, a nice AU-58 example of an N-11: [img][img] Lance, that's nice for a 20!
Still like that coin, Matt! :) I suspect it didn't last long. ;)
Nice coins, Mark & Lance. Somehow, I got a trio of '26s. Anyone wanna trade for a nice '25? :) AU-53: [img][img] [img][img] 1826/5 XF-40: [img]
This is the first vote that was truly difficult for me, but I voted with my collecting heart and went with the Jeff.
I can't help you guys with 1825. :( p.s. vote here: http://www.cointalk.com/t218484/ We can't let the FEC guys win!
Not sure I would say "good deal", but the price is not out of line, IMO.
What did they grade it? I didn't see that in the other thread?!?
Vf 30 Judging by the reverse, much of the missing obverse detail is due to a weak strike, so I might go 35 if you pushed me. :)
Uh oh, my favorite coins may be going DOWN this round. :(
On the bright side, the details grade does guarantee authenticity, which is no small thing with a coin this valuable.

Coinstruck, your photos are quite good already! Just keep playing with things -- lighting, exposure, color, focus, and more lighting -- and...
Paul, Love that bingham app, BTW. [img] That's a heck of a coin.
I'm having a bit of trouble with your photos -- luster in particular is hard to judge -- but here are my guesses, in order. 66, shot 67 67 66 Good...
Ikes. I've never been one to trump any coin as "undervalued", but I do wonder why Ikes aren't even more popular than they are.... They're big....
Thanks for the update, Matt. Sorry and a bit surprised to read it didn't get the problem-free slab. I think that should be resubmitted at...
My only PCGS submission was hand-delivered @ FUN. Part frugality, part risk-avoidance, but the real reason was the help in filling out the PCGS...
Eduard, Yes, obviously, I did mean 1821. :) To answer your question: The coin was graded XF 45 by NGC. CAC agreed with the grade and gave it...
