High value coin and apparent condition. There is no good reason that a coin like this is not slabbed. Big red flag.
I would add pull out your phone and do a quick ebay search prior to buying to quickly reference options and expected comparable rates.

In hand you can see around at least ten to eleven strikes so I would say $.55 would be the face value
