Don't know how accurate it is, but the rotated die census has the 85 as an R6 (13-30) population...
Look at the ear on this one and compare it to the plugged one. [IMG] This one is more horizontal than the plugged one.
She's a beauty and I do agree that it is a rock solid 68...
More than likely it lowered the value of your semi-key nickel. On lesser valued coins a lamination generally increases the value due to the error....

I'd love to see any die markers on the rev. of the nickels if any remain. So far I'm not convinced, but like the "experts", I could always be...
