Well to me the obverse says MS and the reverse makes me think AU. Honestly I think a tpg would put it in the MS62-63 range. Nice coin no matter what.
It does look like the N-8 to me, but wait for an expert.
Still does not mean a tpg won't call it a 62-64. Lovely coin no matter what it might grade.
Really nice coin. They just had a 1917 PCGS MS66+ (and cac) at the local shop. It was beauty but outside my xmas spending range. The clash was...
Still a really nice coin.
I would leave it alone - very nice coin, but not sure it would make MS. Then again a cross over to NGC might or might not make. Maybe a CAC...
Nice find Rick. Congrats.
Actually - just take them to the local shop and get a few cents each for them. If you want to do a quick search through them and pull out any...
Toughie with those pictures -but AU details to me. And if I was buying I would skip that coin because of the pictures.
Mine is a simple collage of 4 middle date large cents I currently own. I have had a few of the years and who knows when I might change it again.
I have always disliked the central band on the wlh, but this gold coin does that justice. Very nice pickup.
Nice pickup.
Nice coin. Look to me like a well placed hit to the rim.

Sounds like my father looking for a gas leak - shessh I must of "discussed" this with him for 10 minutes on the stupidity of it. I also once had...
Good luck Marshall.
Congrats on getting so close on the set. A nice collage of the set would be nice.
Well you might have to wait for Howard for this one. All I know is it looks nice and the only variety I really know is 1883/2 - not sure this is one.
Nice batch of coins.
A new little morgan. [IMG]
