you are right , nowdays we need millions and millions of coins and the mint uses the dies until they about fall apart

yes the other one only has a scratch on it and is considered as pmd damage .
this is from the coins being bumped together . some folks think this may have occured during the ejection process after the coins were struck.

this one is from a small die chip , the others are from a over abraided die where part of the neck and hair details was removed from the die .
