Tommy not all MD has shelfing . what about die detoration ? some of the dies wears out and creates what looks almost exactly like a doubled die...
someone has ground this one down to dime size so it could be used as a dime in vending machines. at one time a dime was worth quite a bit.
the die somehow got a scratch on it , this would be about impossible to say for sure what scratched the die IMO.
