No creases, tears, or even a nick. That is a fine well taken care of specimen. Goes to show that desert air is good for just about everything.
The '72 doubled die major variety is the biggie. There are others with a bit more than face value, but you'd know it if you found the "ONE"....
They both look slightly mis-aligned, but other than that I don't see anything to add any great value to them. What did you think you saw?
Saw this and thought what the heck, I'll splurge the $8 to add this to the collection. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Looks like all large dates. By no means an expert, but this I happen to have a pretty good handle on.
That would be MD (mechanical doubling)... flat and shelf like. And not using my handle as an example, the correct term is "doubled die". We all...
Just a typical 70's low grade mintmark. IMO, the 70's were the worst years when it came to mintmarks. Looks like it might have taken a hit along...

I've got some 70-S small dates and I have some 70-S/S's, but none with both. Maybe some day :nailbiting:
The fuzzy tunnel kaleidoscopic effect on the pics. Like a 70's concert film footage.
Thanks for that 70's flashback. Not seeing any doubling though.
