Without info from one of the largest and most respected sellers of ancient coins in the world, I find paying for it makes no sense for me.
Anybody know why acsearch.info includes auctions of many US dealers, such as Heritage, Goldberg, Pegasi, Stack's Bowers, Stephen Album and even...
Welcome to the forum, Mike. I collect Greek silver staters. Do you collect silver, too, or only bronze?
Very nice coin, Steve. Your type with Venus holding a helmet seems to be much scarcer than the type with her holding an apple. Perhaps someone...

SNG ANS includes two Loas AR fractions: 137 - Same type as yours, but with the bull on the reverse to the left; 1.07 grams, therefore the same...
A few cracks in this Syracuse tetradrachm, but I still love it: [IMG]
Welcome to the brotherhood, Prokles, and thank you for the contribution. Your coin would appear to be rare. I found only two Laos silver fractions...

There have been many discussions here regarding photographing coins and here is an interesting comparison - three different photos of the same...
This example, from the same dies as the OP coin, is being offered in Roma's current e-auction, estimated at £2,000: [IMG]...
At 2:20: "13 roman emperors where [sic] executed: Achilleus (emperor)"....??
Here's a gold galloping horsie! [IMG]
I posted my Larissa stater in another thread recently, so here's another horse... The sweetest horse coin I own, Steve: [IMG]
