There are Several books on the California Fractional gold pieces. The pieces are cataloged by Breen/Gillio numbers ("BG_XXX") so that is the best...
65 Red
Entry Post. A please.
Fake. Weigh the coin and compare to the official weight is a good basic test. The dentils are not correct as well.
Back in the 19th century specie (coins and metal money) had a greater value than paper money. Paper money was discounted in value because there...
I saw the small reverse picture after I posted. Too blurry to tell. If possible, please crop the pictures to remove most of the background.
looks AU to me due to the gunk in the dentils and ever so slight wear to the hair. It would have been nice to see the reverse for a better read on...

Entry post $11.25

The die cracks are interesting, but at best I would call that a MS64 as Sac took a hit on the chin plus the rim marks. The reverse strike appears...
the pictures of the red coin shows the same spots and the red is very grainy so it looks played with to me and not original surfaces. I agree that...
Not really sure. Looks AU 53-55 to me, but it could be the lighting. There is some gunk in the dentils on the obverse and reverse. Still a nice...
Entry post I like the copper Braided Hair large cent,1848,repunched date.
