Looks like a 63. A bit subdued on the luster and the contact marks on the reverse.
I am not seeing much luster and a touch of wear. AU58. Generally a pretty clean coin.
Nice color but weak torch strike especially on the Philly coin.
I think it is a 63. Probably better luster than what the picture shows.
San Francisco had its act together in 68!
I see a lot of differences between the coins. the strike and the relief on the B/W one is very mushy. Also the portrait's face is more skinny on...
Nice! I love the 1968 cents as they seem to be the best struck with a great relief. Makes our current cents look pathetic. It looks to me that...
I think 40 is correct and maybe even slightly high! I also would not reholder the coin. The wreath has too much wear to get a higher grade....
oh, and if you use 2x2 paper flips, buy high quality ones and make sure they have mylar plastic and make sure to flick the flip with your finger...
More than likely, the paper from the rolls will already have slightly toned the coins at the edge. I would put them in plastic tubes, then store...
The reverse was caused by a rolling machine crimping the end of the roll. The coin has normal 50 years of wear. Nothing special.
the coin is too damaged to make it worth grading as well has too new of a date and is only worth 1 cent. I would suggest that if you want modern...
the coin is rough and has been exposed to the elements. It looks somewhat typical to a coin a find metal detecting from the ground or beach. A...
yes. the main telltale is the step of the doubling. A Doubled die coin doesn't really have the step or height difference of the two images.
Most of the early slab were not completely sealed airtight (but close). I remember seeing a later slab ad that showed the slab in a fish tank...
I believe these were called "counters", used for betting and are never really that close to the real coins that were produced. There are many...
The date and minkmark are way too strong compared to the portrait, especially at the top of the head. That goes along with the mushy "GOD"
Looks XF40 to me. Luster seems missing. gunk in corner of letters.
67, Obverse very clean. Not full steps, normal strike.
slabbing started in 1986 for PCGS. I have some early first gen slabs that still have white coins. That would be over 3 decades.
