I don’t think so. Need a better lighted reverse to confirm, but it looks more like this....
Good pictures. It appears to be a hit. The next to the last picture shows striations from the NE and the shadowing shows it to be incused from...
Appears to be worn die issues to me. JMHO
Sorry, can’t tell much from those pictures. It’s probably a scratch, but you need to post full, clear and in focus pictures to tell. Welcome to CT!
Looks good. Congrats!
You may be right. A good picture, aligned right from straight above would help. What do you think it could have been stuck through?
Not necessarily, if it doesn’t break though the copper layer it would be the same color.
Welcome to CT! No, what you have here is a damaged coin. PMD, post mint damage.
These are tough especially on a worn coin. Look at the top serif on yours, the straight line serif is on top and it’s on the bottom on Wexlers....
There are two mint marks for San Francisco in 1942. Your’s appears to be a normal MMS-005....
You might have missed it. Go back to that link and click on Mechanical Doubling at the bottom of the page. Scroll down to the next to the bottom...
You are correct on the WHMR. The photos you posted highlighted the MD. Cool find, unfortunately common. ;)
No, but you may have won here. Need better pictures to verify. http://varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/1960DRPM013.htm
Unfortunately no, it’s MD. Flat shelflike with reduction of devices.
Impaired proof.
You are seeing DDD, die deterioration doubling. This will help. http://doubleddie.com/144801.html This is my 1995 D-03 [ATTACH] It should look...
Incused is different. Check out all the different doubling. http://doubleddie.com/144801.html
Hoarding... still haven’t checked what I have accumulated yet.
The 1980 looks good for being found on the floor. The 1987 is PMD.
This is a cool coin! Can you tell us how you acquired it? Purchased or Crh?
