It’s hard to tell exactly from the photos but compare your coin to this....
Can you post an edge picture of a normal weight wheat with this coin together?
You have the coin I linked. Congrats!!
You should post full clear pictures of the obverse and reverse to be sure.
Looks like this only worn from circulation. http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20Doubled%20Dies%20Vol%201/1936PDDO001.htm
Unfortunately, they will probably bring less than OBW rolls.
Appears to have a hit from another reeded coin.
The market will depend if they are unopened Bank rolls or if they are just rolls of BU coins.
Welcome to CT. I’m with the rest on damage.
Unfortunately it appears to be MD. Flat and shelflike with reduction in the devices.
Looks right. With the wear it’s hard to know the die stage. Congrats!
Yes, you can see the 4 better under a 10x loupe with the correct lighting. To the naked eye, it’s invisible.
Yes it’s mine.
Sure.
Here’s one I have. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It has great toning, I just didn’t want to take it out of the 2x2 and couldn’t get a better...
That appears to be an altered 1944-D.
Sorry Dave, the coin has circulation damage and has environmental damage. It is slightly mad (misaligned die) on the obverse.
You need to read @paddyman98 posts. He’s been using a Minelab Vanquish. It’s reasonably priced.
Interesting. Do you have a reference? Thanks!
