What do I know...but, the lack of detail on George’s hair and on the eagle’s wings makes me think it is plated.
I don't think de-plating the coin will be worth the effort. When you are all said and done the best you are likely to get on a grade is a details...

I can’t tell from the pictures. I do know that the back printing area is always smaller than the front.
SensibleSal66 Are you saying that the transfer is smaller than the normal size of the back printing, or that the bill is smaller than other bills?
Who called it a novelty note? Can't tell if it's real or not from those pictures. I need an extreme closeup of the line work of the transfer.
