Pure cupronickel all the way
Thanks buddy! That large date is why I bought it. I paid less than the cost of a small date according to the Red Book.
A 1999-P Off Center Connecticut Quarter. About 20% off center yet perfectly off from the top. And the reverse is the same but from the bottom. A...
I’m not a variety collector but I had to have this one. It’s a 1856 Seated Liberty Dime with the Large Date. The large date is 3 to 4 times more...
It’s not copper plated. Toning causes a copper look, most of the time. Plating causes the coin to be one color. The coin posted by the OP has...
You have a dime that’s normal in every way, shape and form. All cupronickel and contains no silver. Not missing a clad layer for several reasons....
Definitely cleaned but that is a minor struck through.
What you’re seeing above the date is the same thing I’m seeing between the LI in LIBERTY. That makes me think it’s just a minor planchet default.
Not a D over S for sure. It may be an RPM however the to left of the D mint mark has taken a hit.
Thank you.
The coins in decent shape but the tail feathers on the right took a hit and flattened them. However you can easily see the 7 over 8 variety. What...
It is nice and I think it would get an AU grade. It has a tiny rim ding around 7 o’clock. I managed to buy this one for under $30. No complaints...
I took the CW notation on the slab label to mean that but I forgot to mention it. Thanks my friend. :)
A 1965 Kennedy Half Dollar graded by PCGS as SP65 from a Special Mint Set. It’s 40% silver and the reverse is 135* rotated. I took the obverse...
And this one. Another 40% silver coin graded by PCGS as a MS-64. It’s the 1970-D, the last of the silver halves so to speak. This date and mint...
Here’s another one, and what a reflection on both sides. It’s a SP65CAM. The spot in front of his nose is on the slab, not the coin. It’s 40%...
Here’s a really nice 1967 Kennedy Half Dollar. Graded by PCGS as a SP67CAM. It’s also a Special Mint Set coin. That makes it a 40% silver coin....
Full pics of both sides are much more helpful. In this case it looks like a worn die minted it.
I can see faint traces of the letters and that’s because it was minted with grease or debris on the die in those areas.
Separate names with a comma.
